K999 were awarded the Karara iron ore project for the assistance of our services for process piping, in both carbon and stainless steel for supplying, manufacturing, surface treatment and rubber lining of all fabricated pipe spooling and pipe supports. All piping was constructed to Australian standards using qualified welding procedures and qualified welders with NDT being carried out to ensure compliance with International and Australian quality standards.
This included some 17,500 pipe spools, in addition to long radius heat induction bends with a total of approximate diameter Inches of 500,000’’ DI, and included 3537 tons of piping.
K999 were able to carry out this work over a 7 months period to meet the client’s delivery schedule and quality requirements without exceptions.
K999 have the capability to fabricate 1,000,000 diameter inches of pipe spooling per year working on a single shift
Scope of Works for Karara Mining Pty. Ltd included Supply of pipe and Fitting, Pipe Spool Fabrication, Welding Works, Surface Treatment Blast and Painting and Internal Rubber Lining Works, NDT Inspection, Pressure Testing of the piping Systems.
